本剧改编自同名小说，讲述了聪里在18岁时进入大学学习兽医学，带着拯救动物的梦想。曾闭门不出的她，因祖母的支持逐渐振作，独自踏入新生活。面对第一次的友情、恋爱及打工，她在陌生的环境中不断成长。虽然生命的诞生与死亡让她感到无力和痛苦，聪里依然坚定前行，寻找“生存的意义”。

取材于俄国著名作曲家拉赫曼尼诺夫生平、卢森堡国于2007年拍摄的彩色电影《紫丁香》的片名取得真好。单看片名,人们也许难能把它与拉赫曼尼诺夫联系起来,但正是紫丁香花贯串了整部电影,并以此含义深远地表达了远离祖国的拉赫曼尼诺夫的思念故土之情。

电视剧中的女人公叫丁香。来自农村，再一个城市的家庭李当保姆。为了能给失明的儿子治病，她自己省吃检用。男主人公城市家庭里的主任大约60-70岁，了解到丁香的情况后，决定资助丁香为其儿子治病。可他自己知道丁香是个性格坚强的人，她不会接受这一笔钱。于是他决定于丁香结婚。通过合法的形式使丁香接受这笔钱，可丁香和他都明白这一婚姻也只是形式上的，只是为了让丁香能够接受这笔钱，可这却遭到了男主人公儿女的反对，他们认为丁香只是为了得到他们父亲的遗产。可是不管怎样故事仍旧在继续。

这部电影-导演，编剧和演员西尔瓦诺阿戈斯蒂，他的童年在二战时期的回忆录。显示了从家庭生活的场景：父亲，母亲，奶奶和六个孩子，其中西尔瓦诺-最年轻的，是在无声的炸弹爆炸的冲击......

Juju, a drunken oaf who feels the need of being important to someone---anyone---and his friend, an artist, are forced at gunpoint to care for a fugitive, Peirre Barbier, in Juju's broken-down home. The urge for being needed is such in Juju that he gives up drinking and takes care of Pierre, even after he learns that Pierre has been making love to Maria, the girl Juju loves. Plans are made for Pierre's escape, and Maria is to join him over her father's protests. Marua steals money from her father and begs Juju to take it to Pierre. When Juju finds that Pierre plans to double-cross Maria, he kills him. Juju takes the money to his artist-friend, he tells him to return it to Maria, as coming from Pierre, so she won't think she has been betrayed. Juju returns to drinking and being a drunk.

All of those handsome young men in their flying machines are billeted in a field next to the Widow Berthelot's farmhouse in France. Her daughter Jeannine is curious about the young men fighting for England in World War I and their airplanes. Then one of the aviators is killed. His replacement is Captain Philip Blythe who can't help but notice Jeannine. When he lands the first time, she is standing in the middle of his "runway." She makes a more favorable impression when he sees her later by the lilacs. When all of the young men depart on a mission, Blythe promises to return.

Based on an idea by Eisenstein, who dreamt of composing the 101 poses of Robert Macaire - a popular French character epitomizing the unscrupulous swindler - as represented in the 101 lithographs of the series Caricaturana by Honoré Daumier. First, a montage of the gestures as Eisenstein envisaged. Then, original texts are added to the caricatures. And finally, we took the liberty to use them as a commentary to some current news.
